This event will be run by volunteers Barry Probin and Stephen Barlow. Join in for a morning identifying and photographing moths. Barry will be running two Moth Traps throughout the night on the Friday. Come along the next morning and enjoy seeing the many different species of night flying moths.

We will be looking at the different moth trap designs, text books useful in identification and a little bit of history on moth recording. Also Stephen will be on hand to offer his expertise in getting that special photo, sharing his knowledge of how to get the perfect background and lighting. With over 100 species of moths found on the moss, there will undoubtedly be many subjects to capture on film.

Meet at the Manor House Car Park for a 9:30 am start. Whilst this is a free event, booking is required due to limited numbers, so please email fergusw@shropshirewildlifetrust.org.uk to secure your place. Of course, donations are also always welcomed if you would like to support our work. There are toilets and refreshments available on site, but feel free to bring your own snacks if you want. The site is suitable for wheelchair users and visitors with limited mobility. Also as always please dress appropriate for the weather. Don’t forget to bring your camera or at least a smartphone to take pictures.
